Where's the 2022 venue?
Sheraton Grand is located at the heart of quintessential North Bangalore, in Malleshwaram. It's actually in a sprawling multi-acre complex with the Orion Mall, multiple eateries and breweries, and right next to the Sandal Soap Metro Station (well, there's a story to that too). Here's the map > https://g.page/sheratongrandbangalore?share
-
Is public transport available?
Yes, Use the Namma Metro Green Line and get off at Sandal Soap Metro Station - now you wouldn't forget that name in a hurry. The venue is just a 4-6 mins walk away. JP Nagar/Jayanagar down south are about 27-29 mins away, MG Road is 21 mins and further east Indranagar/Byapanahalli are about a similar 25-29 mins away.
There's adequate complimentary parking, or valet parking, and electric charging points at the hotel.

Are there any free passes?
Every year we have a limited set of free passes for those who're deserving and need that little support. You'll find the application link via the registration page.
A fee ensures those who attend are not just there to add to the numbers (or keep passing you business cards for their web hosting company) but they are there for a genuine reason: to learn, to share, to interact! This year, with sponsorship becoming more scarce, rising inflation with uncertainty that abounds - the cost to host the event has certainly become much more expensive.
No, unfortunately not—but you can transfer your tickets (see next Q) to a friend or colleague. Usually our passes get sold out with longer wait lists - so someone is always willing to take it off your hands.
-
Can I transfer the tickets?
Yes. You can transfer right upto the day of the event. You have to email us (from the registered email) and let us know the details of the person who you're tranferring it to. Please ask the person to carry a printout of the email as well. Restrictions apply on DesignUp School Alumni and Student passes.
-
What's the sponsorship benefits?
Loads - if you're a new brand on the block - you get instant recognition. If you're known - you get bonus points for championing design, innovation and startups. Your stuff is in the goodie bags, your logos are on the right places—we'll event do a social media campaign around sponsors and if you have giveaways or promos, we'll include them too.
-
Do you have code of conduct?
Yes of course, and we take it very seriously. In letter and spirit. We want DesignUp events—irrespective of how small or big they are, and our online space — to be safe places for sharing and learning. We celebrate diversity and hope and expect thoughtful, considerate and respectful behaviour from all. And we know you too share these beliefs. More details are at: https://designup.io/the-designup-code-of-conduct/

I am not a designer. Can I attend?
If you use (or want to use) Design as a differentiator or a leverage, this event is for you. If you work within some aspect of Design or with Designers, then this event is for you. So a big YES—this event is open to all who work in MNCs, startups, boutique agencies or startup-like environments within larger corporations. And if you notice our lineup, its very eclectic!
-
I am a designer. What's in it for me?
DesignUp is at the overlap of Design, Tech and Business. This event is for you to reflect upon various aspects of a designer's role and expectations - from Design expectations of C-suite, to designing with data, to learning on the job and more. Its also a place for you to meet other Designers from varied industries, meet mentors and seniors in the fraternity. And expand your network
